In 2023 we return to the sea on board Celebrity Summit for a 5 night sailing to Cozumel and Costa Maya.  Join us for 5 days of fun and relaxation with your favorite musician, Steve Brownell and the number one bar Dockers Waterfront Bar & Restaurant!  With COVID and challenging travel restrictions, many of our group had to make the difficult decision to avoid travel in 2022.  Because of this we felt it was very important to select a destination that is easily accessible by air and at a price that is comfortable so we can include as many of our group as possible.  Post COVID travel is in high demand causing best availabilty at a reasonable rate to be non existent.  Sarah searched for months to try to make the best of best happen, but after much deliberation it was decided that an easy 5 night sailing from the close gateway of Miami to be the way to go.  We know that many of you are anxious to explore new destinations, but we hope you will be excited to get the group back together and join us all on board this year!

Important information before you book!

Please have the full passport name and date of birth for you and your roommate when you are ready to book.

Only have 1 person from your room party make a room reservation using the form below. Please do not have 2 people in the same room fill out the form.

We are holding 55 staterooms in Ocean View Veranda (Balcony), Ocean View (a window) and Inside stateroom categories.

Staterooms will be available until September 15, 2022 or when our group inventory is sold out, whichever comes first.

What are the event dates?

  • The cruise dates are January 28- February 2, 2023.  Our group events dates will be announced at a later date.   

Do I need a passport for the cruise?

  • A valid US passport is strongly recommended in case of air emergencies, because a passport will be required if you need to fly to a foreign port or home from a non US destination.
  • HOWEVER, this group is sailing on a CLOSED LOOP sailing, meaning guests may travel without a passport but will be required to present BOTH an identification and citizenship document in order to embark the vessel. The name on both documents needs to match the name on cruise line reservation. If it does not as a result of marriage or divorce, guests will need to provide their state, county or province issued marriage license or divorce decree. Guests who legally change their name will need to present a court document.
  • U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises (voyages that begin and end at the same U.S. port), will be able to enter or depart the U.S. with a valid passport book, U.S. Passport Card, U.S. or Enhanced Driver's License, or Trusted Traveler Program Card such as Nexus Card, Sentri Card or Fast Card. In the absence of any of the documents listed above, guests will be required to present BOTH an identification and citizenship document from each of the lists below in order to embark our vessel. The name on both documents needs to match the name on cruise line reservation. If it does not as a result of marriage or divorce, guests will need to provide their state, county or province issued marriage license or divorce decree. Guests who legally change their name will need to present a court document.
  • Closed-Loop Identification Documents
    • Laminated driver's license or identification card issued by a federal, state, provincial, country, territory or municipal authority

    • U.S. Naturalization Certificate (original)
    • U.S. Certificate of Citizenship
    **A 'birth certificate' is issued by a government agency (state, county, city, etc.). This document (with seal and signature) is legal proof of citizenship that can be used by U.S. citizens for certain international travel. A 'birth notice' is issued by a hospital or other type of medical facility but it is not an approved travel document. It is a courtesy document that merely indicates where a birth occurred. It has no legal status and cannot be used to prove citizenship for international travel purposes.

 

What if I want to extend my vacation?   Can I stay longer than the group dates?

  • Yes!  Sarah can help with pre or post cruise hotel stays if you wish.

 

When do I have to pay?

  • An initial deposit of $200 per stateroom is due at the time of reservation.  Final trip payment is due September 15, 2022.    

 

Is there an installment payment plan?

  • Outside of the initial deposit date and final payment date, there are no set payment dates. 
  • You can make additional payments at any time by contacting Sarah or using the payment link on the website.

 

Are the payment dates flexible?

  • Unfortunately, no.  This is a travel reservation in which the cruiseline expects rooms to be paid.  If payment is not processed by the due dates the reservation will be cancelled and penalties may apply.

 

Are flights included?

  • No flights are not included in the cruise rates listed.

 

Can I buy my own flights?

  • Yes, you can make your own reservation for flights.  Sarah will collect your flight information closer to travel so she can help set up your ground transportation.

 

Can I get help with flights?

  • Yes, Sarah can help you with flight reservations with major carriers if you wish.  She cannot book with online discount carriers like Spirit, Frontier, Southwest. etc.  Those must be booked by the guest direct on their website.

 

How do I get to the cruise?  

  • The cruise departs from Miami Cruise Terminal.
  • Roundtrip transportation is NOT included in your room rate.  Celebrity Cruises offers roundtrip airport transportation from airport to cruiseport on day of cruise embark and debarkation only.  
    • Miami airport transportation is $34.95 per person
    • Fort Lauderdale airport transportation is $59.90 per person
    • Prices and availabilty are subject to change.

 

The cruisefare includes the Classic Beverage package.  Can I upgrade to the Premium Beverage Package?

  • Yes, the cost to upgrade to the Premium Beverage Package is currently $18 per person, per day.  *subject to change.

I have onboard credits with my cruise.  How can I spend them onboard?

 

Do I need travel insurance?

  • Krafty Travel strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance to protect yourself and your investment.
  • Every reservation will receive a quote for travel insurance, but the purchase is optional.
  • The insurance provides options for pretravel cancelation, during travel issues like lost bags or missed connections, and medical coverage while you are traveling.
  • The insurance cost is based on your trip costs and age at time of travel.
  • You will want to add insurance within the first 21 days of your trip deposit for the best insurance benefits.

What is the room set up?

  • Bedding requests are sent to the cruiseline.  Each room has a bed that can be configured together  as a queen bed or separate into two twin beds.  Sarah will request one or two beds per room based on your reservation request.
  • All rooms are set up based on two occupants. 
  • Some rooms can accomodate triple and quad rates.  Pricing will change based on room occupancy. Single, triple and quad rates available upon request.

 

Can I have my own room?

  • Yes.  We are alotted a small amount of single occupancy rooms, upon request.  Because the cruise line anticipates two people per room, the single occupant rate is about 150% more than the double occupancy per person rate.

 

Can I have more than 2 people in a room?

  • All rooms are set up based on two occupants. 
  • Some rooms can accomodate triple and quad rates.  Pricing will change based on room occupancy. Single, triple and quad rates available upon request

 

Will you assign me a roomate?

  • Sorry, no.  We do not assign roomates.  Please know who your roomate is at the time of reservation.

 

If I make the reservation, do I have to pay for my roomate?

  • No, you do not have to pay for your roomate.  You may add additional forms of payment on the reservation request.  

 

 

Can I just make the reservation and someone show up?

  • No,  each traveler must be a registered guest, booked, paid for and included in the group guest list upon arrival.

 

Are there COVID restrictions or vaccine requirements to cruise with Celebrity?

 

What is meant by "fully vaccinated"?  Are boosters required?

  • As of right now a second booster as not been indicated. 
  • Please Note: Specific vaccine and testing requirements, as well as sailing protocol information, are typically defined about two months in advance of a sailing. If the sail date you're checking is more than two months in the future, information may not be available yet.

 

Can I bring my small pet on board?

  • Celebrity Cruises welcomes service dogs on all ships. * Please note they do not accept Emotional Support Dogs or Pets. CLICK FOR FULL DETAILS
