Located in Karaiskaki Square near the center of Athens, The Stanley Athens Hotel (a 4 star hotel) is directly in front of the Metaxourghio Metro station,
a taxi stand, and tour bus stops, making travel around the city easy and convenient. It features a stunning rooftop terrace with views of the Acropolis, a swimming pool, bar, and restaurant.
All guest bedrooms have been recently renovated.

Strofi restaurant is located just under the Acropolis with amazing views.
Laying its tables since 1975 in the shadow of the holy rock of the Acropolis and staying loyal
to the traditional tastes of the Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, Strofi remains one of the most
historic restaurants in Athens.  The historic location, the mid-war building, the authentic tastes,
and excellent service fully explain why leading Greek and foreign celebrities have patronized this

Day 5  Monday, 14 November

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, meet our guide at the hotel lobby for the Guided Tour of Athens!
From the Acropolis to Omonia Square, with the sightseeing and Acropolis Museum tour you'll see all
the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens on this comprehensive morning tour.
Offering a perfect overview of the modern city, will help you get your bearings if this is your first visit to Athens.
 
Guided Tour of Athens
The Athens tour, depart for a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896.
It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus.
You will then pass the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens,
and the National Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church,
Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral,
Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church, and finally ACROPOLIS (visit Propylae,
Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Continue the expert guided
Athens sightseeing and museum tour with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater,
to visit the ACROPOLIS museum. Avoid and skip the lines of the new museum. Main attractions such as votives,
artifacts of everyday life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the
metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.

Day 6  Tuesday, 15 November

Flight: Early Morning Athens-Santorini

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast depart to Athens International airport for your flight to Santorini.
Arrival in Santorini & check in at the hotel.
 
Meet our guide at the lobby and start the Guided Tour of Santorini - Embark on this remarkable journey
and delve into all the magic and allure of the island: scenic villages with traditional houses, blue-roofed
churches and footpaths, historical sites and ancient cities, breathtaking landscapes and seascapes,
and of course, spectacular sunsets against majestic skies.
 
There is a lot more to Santorini than spectacular views, blue-roofed churches, narrow paved paths,
and amazing beaches. The Koutsogiannopoulos Winery where you will gain first-hand experience of
the traditional wine-making art of Santorini and feel free to discover and enjoy the exquisite local wine
varieties that the island has become famous for.   
 
Then, a tour to The Santorini Brewing Company will follow. Opening in 2011, the company is the first
brewery on the island. A fresh beer experience never before available in Santorini. Unfiltered, to capture
every particle of flavor Unpasteurized & preservative-free, they are also sensitive & somewhat fragile,
as their very "living" nature requires refrigeration to assure their excellent quality and ultimately,
their perfect enjoyment. Each recipe contains four simple components - malted barley, hops,
yeast & water - that in myriad permutations translate into countless possibilities.
After the tour, return to the hotel and get ready for the dinner.
 
Amazing Group Dinner at 1500BC Restaurant
The restaurant is located in the historic Fira, overlooking the Aegean Sea at an altitude of 250m above sea,
this evening’s dinner location looks directly at the golden sunset every day and creates images that remain
engraved in your memory. Symbolizing moments through the passing of the years… and such moments are
offered to you from sunrise to sunset!  Food is a culinary journey of flavors and it is the fastest way to get to
know the culture of a country with a balance of tradition and gastronomic inventiveness. Gourmet combinations
with raw materials from fine producers from Santorini but also from every corner of Greece and creative chefs
is the way you will embark on this culinary experience!  Some call it food; they call lit Greek creative cuisine!

NOTE – The next two days, will be guided educational & cultural tours visiting two of the most
known sites of the country and two of the most distinguished places in the ancient history: Delphi and Olympia.
 

Day 9  Friday, 18 November

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, meet our guide at the lobby and start the Guided Tour of Delphi.  
 
Guided Tour of Delph
In the morning visit the pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke
and was the site of the omphalos, the ‘naval of the world’. Blending harmoniously with the superb landscape
and changes with sacred meaning, Delphi in the 6th century BC, was indeed the religious centre and
symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world. While at the site, visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo
and the Museum. Lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant.
 
Drive to Olympia through gorgeous Greek countryside & landscape.

Day 10 Saturday, 19 November

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, meet our guide at the lobby and start the Guided Tour of Olympia.
In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium
and the Archaeological Museum. There is probably no ancient archaeological site anywhere in the world
that has more relevance on today’s world than Olympia, the place where the ancient Olympic Games were held.
Lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant.
 
Drive back to Athens and get ready for the farewell dinner!

Cancellation Policy & Travel Insurance


CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations in arrears 91 days will cancel automatically for non-payment.  Any monies paid will be forfeited and not refunded.
This package is Non-Refundable all changes or cancellations will result in a travel credit. Which can be used towards and TBOG Tour of The World Package.

FOR NEW BOOKINGS – BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE!
To give you peace of mind, our temporary penalty waiver allows travelers to cancel up to 61 days prior to departure and obtain a travel credit, less the booking, processing, late, return check fees.  This travel credit can then be used to purchase other specific TBOG Tour the World Travel Experiences.  Travel credits issued from travel booked in 2022 will be valid through and must be used for travel before December 31, 2023.  If you choose a TBOG Tour the World Travel Experience that is more than your travel credit, you are responsible for any additional cost.  If the new Travel Experience is less than the travel credit, a future travel credit will be issued for the difference.

Cancellations made within 61 days of departure are non-refundable and not eligible to obtain a travel credit
